I am a 30-year-old girl who has just recently come into her own with fashion.  After 3 whole decades of awkwardness and sloppiness, alternating between caring too much and not caring at all about trends, trying to fit in with everyone or doing everything in my power to be unique, I’ve finally defined my own personal style and what I’m comfortable with wearing.  I’ve also learned to appreciate everyone else’s unique, signature style.

Celebrity Fashion Fiction is an homage to some of my fashion icons, and I hope to expand it into some of your favorites, too.  With the help of Polyvore.com, I’ve created fictional capsule wardrobes based on celebrities’ personalities and coloring.*  Sometimes I concentrate on the personality of the character this celebrity plays vs. the celebrity’s own fashion sense (oftentimes these vary greatly-case in point being Lea Michele and Rachel Berry).

Every month I introduce a new celebrity and their entire capsule wardrobe, then create a new outfit for them every day of the month for different occasions.  This is where I have fun:  sometimes I’ll caption them with fictional events, such as a concert or awards show.  When the time calls for it, I may even be dressing these celebs up for New Year’s Eve parties or Valentine’s Day dates!

I’ll definitely be asking for feedback from you, dear readers!  Of course I’ll be asking for your own personal opinion, but there will be days where I’ll have you vote on which “bonus item” to include in a capsule wardrobe.  Sometimes I will ask for fictional events for which to dress the celebrities up for.

There will even be times where I might even put together an outfit very similar to the fictional one I created, using the clothes I have in my own closet.  After all, capsule wardrobes are meant to have basics, and most people will have those basics, won’t they?  Feel free to post pictures of your own take on some of the outfits I post.  I would love to see how they look on real people!  🙂
